AN: Sorry it's so late! My muse dried up and life got in the way and then the ficathon was over and this got shoved into the back burner for a while. But here it is at last.

Summary: There are times when having a perceptive lover is inconvenient. But Simon wouldn’t have Alys any other way.

Fandom: Vorkosiverse, Doctor Who
Wordcount: 1200
Characters: Tenth Doctor, Jack Harkness/Cordelia Vorkosigan
Notes: This was written for philomytha in fandom_stocking 2013. Many thanks to fuzzyboo03 for looking it over for me. This falls in the continuity of my Countess and the Doctor series, in which Cordelia travels with the Doctor after Aral dies.
Disclaimer: Not mine! They belong to the BBC, Russell T. Davies, and Lois McMaster Bujold
Summary: If there was one thing the Doctor could never wrap his head around when it came to humans, it was the way they talked about sex. Or rather, the way they obsessed about it.

Um, so it looked like I wasn't done with the writing bug. (Or maybe it wasn't done with me?)

A very long time ago, I wrote an AU called 'White Knights' for the 2011 Bujold Fest (yes it's been that long...), a what-if story where Simon and Alys married during the Regency and Ivan ended up with a couple of extra siblings.

Chapter 5 is now up, the short interlude alluded to in the note at the end of Chapter 4.

Fic is rated T for a bit of violence and swearing, nothing major.

Popping up with a few new things.

1. New fic - Armageddon's Children
Rating: General (Suitable for all audiences)
Characters: Gregor, Simon
Summary: A bit of an odd-ball one shot idea that popped up while I was trying to write other stuff, set in an alternate universe where war breaks out between Barrayar and Cetaganda. Gregor proposes to bring onboard a new generation of biochips in hopes of turning the tide.

(Also, I am completely fried after running a crazy temperature for two days earlier this week, so it's even weirder than usual. Please excuse any stupid typos.)

2. Updates to A Season Out of Time
Rating: Teen (Rating for oblique references to suicide, no major warnings)
Characters: Primarily Simon and Aral.
Summary: Some of you may recall the AU I was working on, where Cordelia doesn't return to Barrayar. I really dropped the ball on this one, sorry. Two new chapters were uploaded since Christmas.

Several months before the Barrayaran Emperor Gregor Vorbarra was to marry the Komarran heiress Laisa Toscane, the wormhole connecting the worlds of Komarr and Barrayar mysteriously collapsed, leaving the planet Barrayar isolated from the rest of the galaxy. Among those trapped on the lost world were Emperor Gregor and Lord Miles Vorkosigan. On the other side, Aral, Cordelia, and Mark Vorkosigan were left to hold the colony worlds of Sergyar and Komarr.

Hundreds of years later, isolated Barrayar has long since moved on, and the other worlds of humanity have become the stuff of legends. But when mysterious visitors begin to arrive from the stars, the forgotten planet finds itself drawn into a desperate quest to save humanity from destruction.

For the One Ring has returned. And it's on Barrayar.

Title: Special Broadcast: For Remembrance
Fandom: Vorkosigan Saga
Relationships: Gregor Vorbarra & His Empire, Komarr & Barrayar
Featuring: Gregor Vorbarra, Cordelia Vorkosigan, Ivan Vorpatril, Simon Illyan, Duv Galeni, Kommaran OCs, assorted Vor & their entourage
Genre: Gen
Rating: PG
Word Count: ~1700
Summary: Komarr had been in uproar over the visit ever since its announcement. ImpSec had swarmed the Domes and taken a tooth comb to the station’s personnel for at least as long. Despite Marna's misgivings, boycotting the broadcast was not an option.
Notes: Divergent from canon in that this sadly didn't happen before Gregor met Laisa and would never have had the same effect after.
