A very, very late entry for Winterfair 2010! But it's finished at last.

Title: The Nature of Kings
Author: philomytha
Prompt: Plotty Aral/Galeni slash, with all the issues that both of them bring to the table regarding Komarr and Imperium and daddy issues and bisexuality, etc. I would prefer this fic set entirely within the Barrayaran masculine sphere.
Length: 17,000 words
Content: violence, colonial issues, mystery
Summary: The Prime Minister makes a visit to Komarr while Galeni is posted there, and the political becomes personal for them both.

Hi guys,

Having read most of the Vorkosigan saga this spring, and having plot bunnies attack me from all directions, I'd hoped that my first post to this comm would be a fic. Unfortunately, my thesis seems to have got in the way, so, instead, I'm looking for a fic which I know I've seen recently but can't find. I've gone through AO3 with various tags, but I just can't find what I'm looking for. The fic which I want has Aral and Cordelia discussing a very young Miles, the former concerned that Miles may have more difficulties than just the physical. It culminates with Miles' first word ('dammit') and Aral arranging to have his long lunch breaks. I was sure that I had bookmarked this, but I just can't find it.

Thanks for any help.
This year's Rare Women fic-exchange has seen the addition of three new stories in the AO3 archive:

"Red Over Green"
This story features Cordelia, Professora Vorthys and Ekaterin.

"First Save"
This story features Princess Kareen and Drushnakova.

"The Purpose of Life"
This story features Lilly Durona Jr, Maree, and Elli Quinn.

AN: Sorry it's so late! My muse dried up and life got in the way and then the ficathon was over and this got shoved into the back burner for a while. But here it is at last.

Summary: There are times when having a perceptive lover is inconvenient. But Simon wouldn’t have Alys any other way.
